It’s late afternoon in my neck of the woods, in lovely sw Ontario, Canada. A perfect summer day really, warm but not humid, with the sun shining. I’m in my office with the window open and a breeze is coming through…so awesome to be able to turn off the AC.
As I sit here, I’m thinking how lucky I am. To be here, able to devote as much time as I need to this whole writing gig. I am damn lucky. I have a wonderful husband who’s extremely proud of my accomplishments…..in the past seven months I’ve subbed several manuscripts, of which a few are being considered by an epub….one full has been requested by an editor at Silhouette Nocturne, and on the strength of that particular manuscript I now have my very own agent! How awesome is that?
I would never have pursued this dream without the incredible support of everyone that I love….and the many new friends I’ve made recently, in particular Lauren Hawkeye….a writer of great talent, wit and someone I’m looking forward to meeting in the next few weeks……yeah, lucky me…good friends, good family and two bottles of the finest red wine about to be popped open!
Who else feels as lucky and blessed as me, and why?
