Well, it’s the first Monday in November and while we have some lovely weather heading our way tomorrow and through the rest of the week…today is rainly, gloomy and slightly depressing if you ask me. A great day to sink your butt in the couch and grab a good book and read.
I was shopping in the states on the weekend…I know, crazy considering the Canadian dollar is sucking real bad right now, but I did manage to get some great deals for my daughter…..no one else really, but she cleaned up big time…um, anyway, like I was saying….was out and about and grabbed 4 new books to read. Now all I have to do is find the time to read them mind you, and I personally have a boat load of books I haven’t read yet. But I can’t help it…when I see books out by my favoritie authors…well, I get all excited and jittery and I HAVE TO HAVE THEM.
So these are the latest I’ve bought for my reading pile:
One Silent Night: Sherrilyn Kennyon (started it last night…pretty good)
The Book of the Dead: Patricia Cornwell
All I want for Christmas is a Vampire: Kerrelyn Sparks
Dark Possession: Christine Feehan
Destiny Kills: Keri Arthur
so, what’s in your TBR pile? and what are you most looking forward to reading?

Hi Jules!
That Kerrelyn Sparks book looks amazing. I’ve never read any of her work, but I just love that cover.
My TBR is simply huge, but right now, I’m reading Kimberly Raye’s latest vampire Blaze. I’ve put myself on a steady diet of Blazes for the next little while, trying to familiarize myself as much as possible with the line. Thanks for your good wishes for my chat with Brenda. It was really informative and a very positive experience! I’m not where I want to be – YET – but after talking to her, I have concrete suggestions on how to get there. I’ll probably be posting on my blog about my phone call with her within the next couple days.
Right now, I’m pretty NaNo obsessed. LOL

Hey Cari…yes, please post the details of your conversation! Is that something you bid for in the Brenda Novak auction? Am I correct in that? Very cool regardless. Kimberly Raye’s Blaze looks cool…I remember admiring the cover when I was waiting in line at the blaze book signing in SanFrancisco. And yes, I now have two Kerrelyn Sparks book..one I got as a freebie in SanFran and then I bought this one…she’s a fellow Avon author so I thought I’d support her! but the cover is very nice!

My current new series that I’ve been following are Nalini Singhs Shapeshifters. I’m very caught up in her characters. I’ve also been reading Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld. I’m kind of hooked on the overarching story of that series now, and I’m one of these compulsive people that has to know how things end. I guess it keeps me reading series. I’m also looking forward to Angie Fox’s The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers. It is coming out this spring. It’s going to be a riot.

Jess, I’ve been meaning to pick up Nalini’s books for a while now…I met her at Nationals…she’s a very cute little woman and so nice to boot! I also have Gina’s books in my TBR pile…sigh…there are just too many….but I think I need to find more of a balance with my writing and to read more then I have been….Angie’s book looks like a hoot, you’re right!
