I read an interesting post today. It was on Moonrats and it was a total kick in the pants. Read it here: http://editorialass.blogspot.com/ (copy and paste…still can’t figure out how to do a link!)
Moonrat is right. The economy sucks. The news is bad all around in every sector of business. when things get this bad, entertainment is usually the first to suffer. I mean, really, people do need to eat after all.
But, buy a book people. Just one book can make a difference. I’m not talking about a 24$ hardcover, although if you do go that route, more power too ya! buy a 7$ paperback. Just one….and tell your friends to do the same while they’re at it!
I am going to the mall today and I will go to coles and buy a book, either something by Nalini Singh or a new YA
What are you going to buy?

I bought two!!!!
Well, my sister wanted a pretty hardcover cookbook for her birthday, so I bought her one with great recipes that will look awesome in on her bookshelf. And while I was there I picked up the new darkhunter book. I can’t wait to sit down with Stryker’s story. Almost bought the new Feehan, But money is tight so I’ll need to wait for the paperback this time.

(Wish I could help ya with the linky bull$hit! My new site auto links…it is so waaaaaay cool. Sorry. Squee over…but I needed it after the grief of having a php site that was incompatible with html links…
Anyhoo, back on topic. I bought my mother the new James Patterson (yeah, yeah, I know, not like he needs my support, but it’s what she likes) *sigh* and I bought the most recent ebook releases of two friends!
I’m trying to do my part! All that reading. Such a hardship. LOL

Hey Lainey! I love patterson as well..but I’ve been reading his YA series…it’s pretty good….and yes, I’ll have to email my web dude to see what I’m doing wrong….

Hi Jules…I didn’t even know Patterson had a YA series. Pretty cool. I bought Jackie Kessler’s Hotter Than Hell last week, but I’m trying to stay to my budget, since it’s almost Christmas and all. *g*

Cari, his YA series is very cool. About a group of kids who’ve been genetically engineered to be able to fly. They have powers and are on the run from the lab that held them….I’m enjoying it a lot! I think the first one is called Maximum Ride…..I’ve heard Kessler’s Hotter than hell is very good, you’ll have to let me know how you liked it!
how goes the NANO…you doing it this year?

Hey Rae!
Interview with a Vampire is one of my all time faves as well…although out of the entire series, The Queen of the Damned is the one I couldn’t put down…loved it…and yes, we should all be spreading the word to buy books…I will be buying a lot…I’m going shopping in the States again this weekend and plan on picking up a small treasure trove of books…they’re cheaper across the border….well, now that our dollar is looking a little better!
have a good one!
