Ah back in from a weekend in the States shopping with the girls. It was a total blast and just fun to get away with a bunch of chicklets….we did an outlet mall, another mall….found some good deals…and ofcourse consumed some good wine which led to a lot of laughs.
And now it’s tuesday and reality has set in. I have a bunch of house stuff to get done and back to my writing schedule. It’s been hard to plan that lately……as I’m STILL WAITING FOR MY REVISIONS……..aaaagggghhhhh! I am totally stalking my mailman and the problem with that is, I live in a small town….so I KNOW the mailman personally! But seriously, I’ve never been good at waiting and right now…I’m starting to freak out a little…I thought they’d arrive last week for sure…..but nada. Sigh…and now I hear that some Canada Post employees are on strike ( are they fracked? Have they not seen the doom and gloom on the news? They’re freaking lucky they have a job)….So I need to learn how to just chill……not sure how successful I’ll be….I’ll let you know….
In other news I totally reworked my YA proposal and am almost done with it. My goal is to get it to my agent by the end of the week. Along with totally coming up with a fresh angle that kept the basic premise, I decided to write it in first person. I’ve only ever written one piece in first, so this was a challenge for me. I wrote the first two chatpers in third and then rewrote them again in first…..it really helped me get the hang of it ( thanks Stacey for the suggestion) and it’s much easier to write this way.
I’ll have to wait ( again) to see what Laura thinks…so please everyone cross your appendages for me!
So what is everyone else wating for? and or working on?

Glad you had such a nice time, Jules. One more week for me and I fly off for a girly week on the East Coast! Yay!
I feel your pain on the edits. I’m waiting for edits on the couple shorts I sold and unfortunately I’m one of those people who has a hard time jumping into a new task until I’ve put a final wrap on the current task so I’m accomplishing roughly sweet FA at the moment.

Sounds like you had a great weekend, Jules. Nothing like friends and a bottle of wine.
I’m just NaNoing along…I’m pretty far behind, but every word I write gets me closer to "The End." Good luck with your YA and I hope your revisions arrive soon!

Yay, I’m glad you finally got your edits. I’m waiting for the second round with mine. I’m nervous about that. I don’t know if I did enough, and I’m anxious to get line edits done so I can start posting excerpts on my website. It seems like we’re always waiting for something in this business.
