It’s Monday morning and a new week has started. In my corner of the world it’s overcast, rainy and just plain yucky outside. The only good thing, is the fact that we have no more snow on the ground. It’s all gone, melted away and that makes me happy. Means that spring is just around the corner, and personally, I’ve found these last few months to be very long. Cold and Long. But, enough about the weather. I’m going to pimp some books today. Some really, good books!
First up, HUNGER BY BARBARA J. HANCOCK.

Barbara is a very cool lady I met on the Harlequin boards and this year she’s sold to Harlequin Nocturne Bites, and now Hunger is a new release from Samhain Publishing. The following is the blurb:
Love might stand a chance…if they can keep from killing each other.
Holly Spinnaker is a monster. Really. Fangs and all. Never mind the petite figure. Pay no attention to the once-bouncy blonde mane. When Jarvis Winters first encounters…it…he prepares to exterminate freak number one hundred thirty two without a flinch.
Mistake number one: following it back to its lair. Mistake number two: watching and listening to her…it…replay voice mail messages from loving, clueless parents again and again and again. Mistake number three: having an actual conversation with a bloodthirsty fiend.
“Make them see you as a person.” Holly remembers the advice from a self-defense class her mother made her take her freshmen year. She couldn’t save her own sister, who ended up a pile of ashes at her feet only one month ago. The night they both found out monsters were real. The night her sister embraced the change. And Holly began to fight it.
“Make them see you as a person.” Kind of hard when you aren’t even sure if you are a person anymore.
I’ve read the excerpt of this book and it is really, really good. So good in fact I ran out and bought myself a copy and it’s waiting for me to read. A little reward for when I get my word count in.

And the second release I want to pimp? Flirting in Traffic by Beth Kery.
<%image(20090309-flirting in traffic.jpg|198|327|null)%>
Here’s the blurb.
Esa never intended to participate in her best friend’s unorthodox dating scheme—flirting with hunky construction workers in Chicago traffic. Her thoughts changed when she saw a long, lean slice of heaven strutting around the side of the highway. For him, she would be the carefree sex kitten her borrowed car with its suggestive license plates implied she was.
Though smarting from the wounds of a recent breakup, Finn can’t resist the tempting redhead driving the come-and-get-me car, flashing him contemptuous looks with those brandy-colored eyes. The lure of taming the feisty little kitten is just too great to deny…
Sounds yummy, no? You can find Flirting in Traffic by clicking on this link Cerridwen Press
OK, off to get my word count in so that I can read!

No problem at all Barbara. If I like, I will shout it! Truthfully, I can’t wait to read the entire book. I’ve had a run of books that have left me wanting, and your voice just speaks to me! Enjoy the success!
