Black Destiny Contest Alert!!!!!!
Sunday, August 15th, 2010

Hey everyone! It’s that wonderful time again…you know, CONTEST time! August 24th, I have the second installment in my Black Opal time travel series for Samhain Publishing, releasing. I’m so excited about Lily and Kerr’s story. There’s something very cool about travelling to the future!

Here is the cover and Blurb:

She will protect him at all costs, even if it means her life.

Undercover, deep in the heart of enemy territory, Lily Black has been charged with a mission: guard the life of Kerr Strome.

Like her warrior sisters, the Black Opals, Lily is a time traveller who shifts wherever she’s needed. She’ll do whatever it takes to foil an assassination attempt on Kerr by The New Order. There’s only one way to fly under his radar: pose as a man.

Kerr Strome is a warrior with his back to the wall. His planet is in chaos, his life threatened at every turn. The safe evacuation of his people from their war-ravaged planet depends entirely on his team of elite soldiers—and their ability to lie low for the next few days. The holding pattern might make him crazy, except for the intriguing new team member. A small soldier with big-time fighting skills, and something extra Kerr can’t quite figure out.

When Lily intercepts a New Order assassin—and a bullet meant for Kerr—her cover isn’t all that’s blown. Their pent-up desire reveals a bitter truth. The reason Kerr is marked for death? He is Lily’s destined mate. And the only way to save his life is to give her own.

Warning: Contains one hard-bodied soldier, illicit loving, a kick-ass lady and a little bit of time travel

So, in honour of this release I will host a contest. I’ll make it simple and easy.

Here are the ways you can be entered!

RWA 2010 Orlando
Monday, August 2nd, 2010

Wow, what a crazy week. A wonderful, awesome, crazy week! And it’s all over.

Last Monday I left for Orlando. Said goodbye to the dude and the two kiddies and didn’t look back. I landed in a haze of heat and humidity but didn’t care because that’s where my adventure begins!

While waiting for the shuttle I met the very lovely, Valerie Gray who is the executive editor for Mira Books. She was a great lady to chat with and had some wonderful things to say about a certain Megan Hart.

Next up, The Swan and my roomie, author Amanda Vyne. I’ve roomed with this lady every year at Nationals and hope to continue the tradiditon for the next 30. We will be Nora and Ruth! LOL, it was great to see her and Dara Lee Snow arrived later that night as well.

Tuesday we chilled, signed in for conference and met the rest of our group for dinner at Epcot. Barbara Hancock, Grace Conely joined the three of us and it was wonderful.

Wednesday the conference got under way with the Literacy signing at 5:30. I still can’t believe I got to sign in the presence of these awesome authors but the LIT signing raised over 62,000$ if you can believe it!

After the conference I joined a bunch of Bradford Bunchers for dinner with our fab agent, Laura Bradford. Jess Granger did a great job booking our dinner at Shula’s. The talk was lively, the wine was yummy and then it was on to a release party for my lovely girlie, Elisabeth Naughton. Her book Entwined released and her crit partner, the sweet and cute Joan Swan threw her a party. I met a lot of cool ladies there, Rodeo Girl will be remembered fondly as well and Kendra and her boyfriend, whom, I think was entertained greatly by our conversation. And no, it was not I who said the word “anal”. at least I don’t think so.

Thursday I participated in two workshops, managed to swear only a few times and though intimidated by the panel on paranormals that included Kelly Armstrong and Jeaniene Frost, I managed to sneak a few comments in without sounding like a duffus!

So, that’s the first part of my recap…I’ll continue tomorrow…with my take on all the fab parties, the karaoke and I’ll include some pictures!
