What’s Goin On at Corvair ’09

Sexytime | Myspace Music Videos

Okay, I’m not going to lie. I took this idea from Lauren Dane. Forgive me. It’s Sunday, I’ve been trying to make more of an effor to blog, but seriously, I’m in deadline hell again whichi is why I’m working on a Sunday, but I thought a good way to get to know some of my readers is for a free for all question asking.

Sound like fun? it will be…the rules are simple…you can ask me anything you like. About me, the books I write, knowledge I’ve gained…anything. I will answer as honestly as I can…..here’s the thing though, if you ask a question I’m going to ask one back and expect to hear an answer too!

I think that this could be a great way to pass some time….I’ll check in and maybe let this run for a few days….and maybe, I’ll pick a winner with the best question asked and answered…..I’ve got some books I’m going to plug this week….you might win one of them!

So, ask away…..

A little bit of what I’m working on….
Saturday, January 29th, 2011

All right guys, it’s Saturday and snowing like hell in the land of Canuk. I’ve got laundry on and have settled in for a day of writing…have words to make up as the drama that was my life yesterday didn’t make for good creative juices if you know what I mean…

So, I thought I’d share a few things…..first up a little teaser about the direction of what I’m working on in the land of paranormal….

For millennia the struggle between light and dark, the upper and lower realms, has been policed by a secret group of warriors culled from every fabric of existence. They are both otherworld and human, male and female. They are light and dark themselves, known to each other as the League of Guardians. Their pledge, to protect the line between the two realms and make sure neither side grows too powerful. If they fall, so shall the earth, the heavens and hell. And there will be no more.

All I can say is Declan’s book leads to this bold, new series and there will be appearances by Cracker, Nico as well as some sexy new dudes! Can’t Wait!

As of the moment however, I’m hard at work on a contemporary novel with the hope that my agent will sell it! This is a small snippet of what I wrote yesterday. Just thought I’d share. I’m thinking the next few scenes after this one there will be some sexytimes….hmmmm…..

Her eyes were stormy again. Just like the night he’d met her.

“I’ll be honest Maggie. I don’t know what this is between us or where it’s going. The only thing I’m sure about is that I’ve never felt this way before. All twisted and anxious and…” he grinned, “horny as hell.” Something passed between them in that moment, a look in her eyes, an answering need.

Cain decided to put it all out there. “I want to know what you think about before you fall asleep.” His eyes smouldered and his skin was hot. He lowered his voice and moved closer, loving the way she bit her lip. “I want to know who you think about when you’re alone in the shower. What makes you laugh and what makes you scared.” He had to make her understand. “I want to know you and I want you to know me, because that kiss? That connection? It doesn’t come around everyday and I sure as hell want some more of that.”

Cain held out his hand. “You do to. I can feel it. Live in the moment Maggie. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

He was suddenly aware of the others milling about several feet behind him. It was a reality check and he cocked his head, effectively dousing the erotic images in his mind. “You coming?”

She stared at him for several long seconds and just when he thought he’d blown it, Maggie exhaled, squared her shoulders and put her hand in his. She didn’t say a word.

But that was all right. She didn’t have to.

New Releases!!!
Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Hey all I have to take a bit of time and pimp some new releases today! These are books coming out from authors who I’ve come to know and they’re not only amazing women, they’re damn fine writers! Check them out!

1st up Burning Darkness, by Jamie Rush.

They live ordinary lives, but they are extraordinary. They are the Offspring, children of a mysterious experiment gone awry—and they are in terrible danger.

A government-trained assassin, Fonda Raine has her sights locked on her latest target: Eric Aruda, one of the rogue Offspring—a pyrokenetic who can create fires with just a thought. But Fonda has awesome powers of her own—and her ability to astral project and be in two places at one time enables her to put herself exactly where she wants to be . . . in Eric’s bed.

Eric is stunned and pleased by the inexplicable appearance of the mysterious enchantress, unaware that Fonda plans to seduce him, throw him off his guard, and then eliminate him. But the game changes radically with the arrival of an assassin from hell with orders to destroy them both. And suddenly Fonda and Eric have only two choices: to join forces or go down in flames.

Next: Death’s Sweet Embrace by Tracey O’Hara

After centuries of secret conflict, humans and parahumans have reached an uneasy truce. But unspeakable evil now threatens the tenuous peace.

Teenaged shapeshifters are being slaughtered by a sadistic serial killer who rips their still-beating hearts from their paralyzed bodies. A task force forms to halt the madness, including the vampiric Aeternus Antoinette Petrescu, as well as Kitt Jordan and Raven Matokwe, members of enemy Animalian tribes . . . and forbidden lovers.

A centuries-old blood feud has divided their shapeshifting peoples, and if their passion is discovered it will doom them both. But past hostilities must be put aside, for the killer they seek is but the first sign of the all-consuming nightmare of The Dark Brethren.

And rounding out this incredible group of authors: Night Betrayed by Joss Ware

The world they knew is ashes.

The world that remains is in peril.

And five extraordinary survivors are humankind’s last, best hope.

The Change that devastated the earth did not destroy Theo Waxnicki. It made him something more than human—eternally young, eternally beautiful . . . but not immortal. When he dies on a mission against the Strangers, he is lost to the darkness . . . until a miracle lady brings him back.

Born during the apocalyptic storms and earthquakes that left the world in ruins, Selena has dedicated her life to easing the pain of others. But Theo is the first in her care to survive. Responding to Selena’s tender touch, Theo starts to live again, to feel and desire again. But joined in a world of terrors, the secrets they can never share make them targets. And love could be the ultimate betrayal.

This and That….

Hey all

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged and now that I’m over the holiday crazies, things have settled down somewhat! Or as slow as they’re ever going to get. Which is okay, cause if I had nothing going on you know this would just be a bitchfest about the fact that I HAD NOTHING GOING ON.

Truthfully, I’m pretty excited about the projects I’m working on and what’s coming down the pike. I finally have the release date for Declan’s Book, Wicked Road to Hell is currently scheduled for May of 2012. I know that seems so far away and things could change, which if they do, I’ll let you know!

Right at the moment though I’m working on a contemporary romance that has me all tingly and excited. My hero is a rock star, a man who’s returned to his small home town after being gone for 10 years. He’s a cross between these two men

Which would mean, my hero Cain Black is my ulitmate fantasy man. Now I’ve been told that romance’s featuring rockstars don’t sell…..my question, who the hell wouldn’t want to read about a man who was the child of Jon Bon Jovi and Nikki Sixx? Huh?

So, that’s what’s up with me and I’m going to leave you with a video of my new fave song. If It Means a Lot to You by A Day to Remember…Enjoy

A new year and shiny new things!
Sunday, January 2nd, 2011

Well, it is now officially 2011 and I for one am pumped for everything this year can bring. There are so many possibilities, you just have to go after them right?

For me 2010 was a year of many firsts. I had my first book releases in print–His Darkest Hunger and His Darkest Embrace…as well as in ebook from Samhain Publishing, Black Destiny and Black Legacy. For a writer this was a dream come true.

I just finished Declan’s book, Wicked Road to Hell and can’t wait for everyone to see what happens in his story. His book takes everything to the next level. I just loved writing him.

But first I have the release of the third book in the Jaguar Warrior series….His Darkest Salvation. This is Julian’s story and I had an absolute blast writing it! He and Jaden are well, not exactly on great terms when they first meet…..again….Here is the official back jacket copy.

In a world on the brink of chaos, passion and vengeance collide …

After six months in hell, Julian Castille has returned to the world a changed man. No longer the calm, powerful CEO, but a shifter fully embraced by the blood of his clan. Julian has one goal: find the key to the portal that stands between the human realm and unprecedented darkness—and win back the pieces of his soul. The last thing he needs is a distraction like the beautiful, enigmatic Jaden DaCosta.

Three years ago, a forbidden night of passion left Jaden forever altered: mated to Julian Castille–bound to a man who despises her. But the temptation to trust this darker, more savage—and more captivating—Julian is overwhelming. And as they fight for their immortal souls, their insatiable desire for each other may prove their fatal undoing…

And tho I can’t release the full cover…it’s getting a few tweaks and isn’t finalized yet, here is a sneek peek at a small bit….

What do you all think? I love it and can’t wait to post the entire thing! And for added fun, here is a small snippet I pulled randomly from the manuscript.

“I had a visitor.”

“More demons?” Julian asked.

“Nope.”

Silence fell between them as Julian stared at the sorcerer. He was tight lipped and tense.
“You gonna elaborate?”

Declan grabbed the coldie from the bartender and took a long, hard swig. “Ana.”

Julian let that information settle a bit. The vampire was not someone the two of them discussed. Not once in all the time they’d been trapped in hell had Ana been mentioned.

But Julian knew how deeply Declan’s feelings ran.

“Didn’t take long for her to hunt you down.” He said carefully.

Declan finished his beer. “Pretty easy to do considering Jaden contacted PATU and gave them a heads up.”

PATU. Paranormal Anti-Terrorist Unit.

It was the government agency run by his brother Jaxon and one that Declan had belonged to up until six months ago. Technically he supposed the Irishman was still a part of the elite unit, but the both of them knew their journey had been altered dramatically the day they’d left the human realm.

“Jaden contacted her?” He was full of disbelief.

“Yeah, apparently she’s one of the good guys.”

Julian snorted. “Sure she is.”

Declan shrugged his shoulders. “I’m just the messenger. Ana said she’s been working under the umbrella of PATU covertly for years .”

Julian ignored his words.

“How are they?” Julian asked, “My brothers. Did Jagger make it out of the jungle with Skye?”

“Yeah. They’re good…” Declan’s voice trailed off, “they’re all good. Normal and fucking peachy-keen.”

The two men stared at each other. Normal was not a word they’d ever be able to use again.

Julian clenched his teeth and let the wave of pain that sat upon his chest ride over him. He felt the tangle of scars burn, pulsate. It was a constant reminder of what he’d lost. Most of the time he was able to ignore it, but sometimes, like now, the burn was much too intense.

If he let it, it would surely drive him mad.

“And Ana?” He asked softly.

Declan carefully placed the empty bottle on the bar. “The same.”

Julian watched the sorcerer closely but knew the conversation was over.

“You boys want another?” The bartender drew his attention, he shook his head and followed Declan back into the lobby.

His heart rate slowed as his animal gathered tight. He let his senses fly but as far as he could tell, there wasn’t a hint of otherworld, nor was there any sign of the DaCostas.

“You sure this is a good idea?” Declan sounded doubtful. “I was kinda liking the idea of the working this alone. You know, Butch and Sundance, Starsky and Hutch….Bonnie and Clyde.” He laughed softly at Julian’s dark look. “Of course you’d be Bonnie.”
