Anyway, I’ve had a few questions emailed to me and I’ll answer them right now and if there’s ANYTHING you want to know about what I’m writing, the new series or something about my jaguars….or what colour underwear I have on…ASK AWAY.

1) WHEN IS YOUR NEXT TIME TRAVEL BOOK (BLACK OPALS) COMING OUT?

See? This is a great question and I’ll admit I’ve been lame in getting the book written. I’ve started it, have the first few chapters done but need time to finish. I’m hoping to have it done by the end of the year and sent to my editor at Samhain. I can tell you it takes place on a slave planet….and it’s very sexy.

2) ARE YOU STILL WRITING ABOUT YOUR JAGUARs?

Of course…Jaguars will still play a role in my books, but as in the Jaguar Warrior books, I have all sorts of otherworld creatures. In my new series the focus has shifted, the world is the same but I’ve so much more room to be creative. Nico is along for the ride and he totally needs his HEA.

3) WHEN DOES DECLAN’S BOOK COME OUT?

Declan’s book, Wicked Road to Hell comes out April 24th….I can’t wait for you to read it and SEE the yummy cover!

For the past week I’ve had the privilege of hopping around to different blogs and talking about my book, DARK FUTURE. Well, that’s great and all (because who doesn’t like to talk about themselves and their latest obsession?), but I am feeling a bit long-winded so I would love to open the comments up to readers. Ask me a question (and dare I say it, ANY question), and I will do my best to answer.

With that being said, let me tell you about DARK FUTURE. I started writing this book in the black pit of post-partum depression after my eldest daughter was born. Now, of course, she is a well-adjusted, loving, kind, nine-year-old, but back then she was the child from hell. I needed an escape. Reading was out of the question because it’s hard to hold a book while carrying a screaming baby. But I could still escape by writing a story in my head.

Through the years I kept plugging away on my manuscript. Then a funny thing happened—my characters started to take shape, become more alive, more…crazy? But I thought, who cares? This is my first book. When I am done writing it, I’ll find a nice place for it under my bed. DARK FUTURE will never get published.

Fast forward nine years, and low and behold, I found not only an agent, but an editor who liked and got my snarky, twisted, dark sense of humor. Who woulda thunk it. I guess today’s lesson is…be careful what you write because one day your mom just might end up I can’t wait to hear from all of you, and I’ll be checking back throughout the day to see what questions your devious minds plan to torture me with.

As you all know (or at least I hope you do!) I have a new series starting in 2012. It’s set in the same world as my Jaguar Warriors but it takes us in a new direction. I’m so pumped and excited about this series.

Here’s the blurb:

For millennia the struggle between light and dark, the upper and lower realms, has been policed by a secret group of warriors culled from every fabric of existence. The first book will be a novella released in ebook format from Avon Impulse in March of 2012. (You will also be able to order in hardcopy if you wish!) I still don’t have the official OKAY on the title but it is NOT going to be Shades of Grey. My agent came up with a very, very cool title and as soon as it’s offical I’ll give you the deets and official release date. What I can tell you about this novella is my hero Logan Winters is a hellhound who works for the League of Guardians and the heroine, Kira Dove has been in a mental instituition most of her life. Declan O’Hara’s book, WICKED ROAD TO HELL kickstarts the series fully! The book blurb and entire first chapter are available for your reading pleasure! I also have the full cover staring at me. I know I’ve teased you with Declan’s impressive abs, but thought you might like another little teaser…..

I can’t wait until I’m able to post the entire cover. Trust me…it will be worth the wait! And the model looks exactly like how I pictured Declan!

So this brings us to the next book in the series…King of the Damned. I don’t want to give too much away plotwise, but my heroine is a witch, Rowan and she’s fecking awesome. The men who play a part in this book include, Nico, Azaiel and a new character I call Priest. The following is my inspiration for these characters.

I won’t tell you who the hero is…..that would give too much away but damn, they’re all pretty awesome, don’t you agree?
