FIVE DAYS IN HELL…Karina Cooper

***********************The Winner of All Things Wicked is Sara M. Please email me your snail mail to my website email and we’ll get the book out for you! I’ll give you until Sunday before I pick a new winner!*****************

It’s been a great week so far and now it’s going to get even hotter, or rather, MORE WICKED! Today we have Karina Cooper’s latest, All Things Wicked.

Karina’s Dark Mission series is one of my fave’s!

Juliet Carpenter thought of the coven as family, but when she falls for a man who betrays them all, she’s left alone and desperately searching for a reason why. Caleb Leigh has spent the past year in hiding, unable to escape his demons. When Juliet finds him again, her need for vengeance clashes with the hunger still burning between them.

It’s a fight born from the embers of a half-forgotten attraction and the wounds of a past too raw to ignore. With enemies circling and secrets threatening to consume them, Caleb has no choice but to fulfill a promise made long ago—protect her, save her. Even if it costs him his blood, his body…and what’s left of his mind.

This is another post-apocalyptic series and again, I’m digging the gritty realism. For your chance to win Karina’s latest, answer me this… What is your fave post apocalyptic movie and why?

Please note: this giveaway is for US only!

    Hi,
Wow, both of the about were great. My favorite was a graphic novel then a TV show, so it is a bit off, but “The Walking Dead” is going to be a classic and cult favorite.
Movie: “The Book of Eli” with Denzel Washington, I did not see the ending coming. I love being surprised.

Well, I’m more of a reader, haven’t watched to many of these. I can think of I Am Legend and the Terminator series. Of those, I’d go with Terminator. Linda Hamilton kicked ***. These books have been on my TBR list. Thanks for the giveway!

Oh, MAN, I looovvve post-apoc movies (and books) – I’m having a really hard time choosing just one. (My very favorite book would have to be Stephen King’s The Stand, but the movie made from the book was nowhere near as good.)

I think the movie that really got to me is The Road. It seemed like such a realistic view of what our world would be like after civilization collapses, but the ending still gives you a small ray of hope that life will go on.

Red Dwarf. Sure it takes place on a spaceship but since all the other humans have been killed except for the main character Dave Lister, I think it counts.

Logan’s Run was probably my first, and is waay old, lol. A more recent favorite is 12 Monkeys. Loved the casting and the movie definitely kept me guessing.

I’m not much into gross stuff like zombies and all that but i liked I am Legend and i guess i could go with The terminator one and two. After that i didn’t care for the 3rd one.

I definitely pick Stephen King’s The Stand. I think it’s the best movie version of a King novel. It created a realistic sense of fear and paranoia and showed the best and worst of humanity while keeping the viewer entertained.

As much as I enjoy reading post-apocolyptic novels, I don’t know if I’ve ever enjoyed a post-apocolypic movie. My taste in books is very different from my taste in movies. Maybe the animated movie 9, if that counts as post-apocolyptic.

I love Mad Max – a young Mel Gibson, and lots of great apocalyptic action – it’s a great film.

I really have to go with The Stand. It was a great book, I read the long version. And one of the best movie adaptations of his work. I also really like his Gunslinger series, which is in its way a post apocalyptic work as well and contains cross over references to the Stand characters among others which is fun.

I guess city of Ember is considered post apocalyptic, it would probably be my favorite. I did enjoy terminator, 12 monkeys, and serenity. Seems like theres one I’m forgetting. However I’m not really into alot of those type of movies as far as the real series right after the end of the world movies. Watched on as a kid and had nightmares for a week. As to why I liked City of Ember don’t have a really good reason I guess that the kids saved everyone. Thanks for the contest!
