Just Go For It…
Monday, April 2nd, 2012

This is just a little reminder of the power of dreams and the utter joy that can be yours when you ‘go for it’. Let’s face it, a lot of us are afraid to reach for the stars because we’re afraid to fall. But man, if you don’t try to fly, you’ll never know if you’ve got what it takes!

Last year my kid and a bunch of incredible kids went for it. They auditioned for Canada’s Got Talent in Toronto, and were picked from out of 8000 acts in Toronto to move forward in this competition. They’re 14-17 and I couldn’t be more proud!

They were on the show a few weeks ago and kudos to a bunch of cuties from a small town in Canada! as Steven Tyler says, Dream on and may all of you grab your stars!

Wrong Side of Hell…New Excerpt
Saturday, February 25th, 2012

Happy weekend everyone! It’s snowing here in the land of Canuk but that’s cool. I’ve lots of writing to get done this weekend! But, the big news…in just over a week and a half the first novella in my new series releases. WRONG SIDE OF HELL was such a pleasure to write and I’m so excited and pumped about this new series. (click on the title to read the blurb if you’re not familiar with the premise!)

I thought I’d share a new excerpt for you all!

“That’s nice. Now can we go?” Logan took a step up onto the pavilion. He’d damn well pull her down if he had to.

“You don’t understand.”

“I understand more than you know.”

She pointed to grass-cutting man once more. “He died a few years ago. Mergerone couldn’t wait to tell me. So why is he here? Why am I here?” Her voice rose several notches. “How could I have been at a market in the Caribbean and in Central Park within an hour of each other? On what planet is that possible?”

A dark sliver of energy materialized on the far side of the park. Logan growled and took the last step until he was inches from her. “Look, lady. We don’t have time for tea and cookies and twenty-five fucking questions.”

She totally ignored him, which pissed him off. Usually when Logan’s animal rumbled beneath his flesh, people took notice.

“You rescued me from that . . . that thing all those years ago. I remember all of it. I know you too.”

That surprised him.

“You brought me back from the dark place. You saved me from the beast.”

“The beast?” He snorted. If she only knew.

Her eyes were liquid pools and she nodded slowly. “Yes, the beast. At least that’s what I call it.” She paused. “I thought of you as my savior for the longest time, but that’s not what you are, is it?”

“No.”

She paused and then whispered. “So what are you?”

He watched her closely. “The beast.”

If you’re new to the blog, check out THIS POST. I’ve details of a contest that’s been running for a few weeks and ends at midnight March 5th. You have a chance to win a 25$ gift card from Amazon or a signed copy of the first full length book in this series, WICKED ROAD TO HELL which releases April 24th!

Wicked Road to Hell, new excerpt!
Friday, February 10th, 2012

Hey guys! Thought I’d post a new excerpt for Wicked Road to Hell! The launch of my new series, League of Guardians is almost upon us and I’m getting uber excited! WRONG SIDE OF HELL releases March 6th (I’m running a contest for this book HERE) but Declan and Ana’s book comes out April 24th! I can’t wait for you guys to read their story!

Chapter Three

Ana DeLacrux was a pro at masking her true emotions. In the three hundred years she’d been alive, or rather, undead, she’d picked up a thing or two. Among them, never show surprise or emotion.

Sometimes it was the only thing that kept you alive.

Sometimes it was the only thing that kept you sane.

Declan O’Hara was a problem she’d not seen coming and though her façade was one of cool indifference, anger even, inside she was a mess.

She felt her barriers sliding away and the fear that accompanied such a loss of control was nearly paralyzing.

She couldn’t go there. Not again. Feelings were something she’d never been good at navigating, especially when it came to the Irishman.

“Who are you?”

He was pissed and yet his voice was still the same, a bit of rasp, a touch of lilt and a timbre that tore at her heart strings.

In the space of a few seconds her mind whirled into what felt like a thousand different directions.

The fact that Declan O’Hara was here in New Orleans, with his ass parked in front of her home was not good. It meant that he’d been sent by The Seraphim. She stared at Declan, her face stone cold.

They were actively hunting Kaden.

Why the hell hadn’t she been warned? Jesus fuck. She gritted her teeth as she stared at the tall Irishman. She was so gonna kick Bill’s ass the next time she saw him. Roly Poly wasn’t going to know what the hell hit him. He should have told her O’Hara was after the boy.

He should have told her the chance of a face to face was pretty damn imminent.

She’d warned Bill after that last time. Seeing Declan the year before, in the arms of some strumpet, and not being able to reveal herself to him had nearly killed her. Again.

Ana hissed and closed her mind to anything other than her job—protecting Kaden. If it meant hurting the man in front of her, so be it. It’s not like she had much choice. No one could be trusted and with the stakes this high…

At his refusal to leave her fangs slid out and she rushed forward, her body moving at a preternatural speed that most wouldn’t be able to evade.

Except Declan O’Hara wasn’t like most others. He was fast and she felt the heat of his power slide by, barely missing her left shoulder.

“Motherfu…” she yelped as another flew past, this time searing her flesh.

A grimace slid over her face. Things were going to get ugly.

She flipped in the air and landed just behind him, whirling around, and her hand jerked out as she shot a quick jab at his lower back. When in doubt aim for a kidney.

Declan swore as she made contact and stumbled forward, but then recovered and kicked out to the side, his booted foot colliding with her midsection and sending her flying backward.

She heard him curse a string of foulness and rolled to the side as she went down, barely avoiding another energy blast.

She was up in an instant and stared at Declan, chest heaving, feeling strangely exhilarated at this dance. Her tongue ran along the edges of her fangs and she arched a brow. “What happened to never hitting a lady?”

“I don’t see a lady anywhere. Only a vampire ramped up on crazy.”

Questions and Answers……
Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

All right! Today I’m going to answer some of the questions that have been emailed to me over the last little while….and if you’ve anything else you’d like to know please feel free to ask here and I’ll do my best to answer!

1. Will Nico get his own book? This question has been asked several times and it makes me very happy to see how much you guys love Nico! He is a major player in the new spin off series, League of Guardians. I’ve written 2 full length novels and he’s in both of them. I do hope to give him his own Happey Ever After but right now I’m not sure when that will be!

2. Are you writing anymore Black Opal books? I’m planning on it…really and truly! I’ve started the third one and have every intention of finishing it. I know there’s been a really long span between them. But, I’ve got contracted books that need to be finished before I do so. I’ll update as soon as I know but I’d love to get this third book written by the summer.

3. Will there by anymore Jaguar Warrior books? The Jaguar Warriors was always envisioned as a trilogy. Three brothers…three books….but then I had this character who I loved…Declan and I knew he and Ana needed their own story. Which is how I came up with the idea of the League of Guardians. I wanted to expand the world in a way that i could write about anything and everything and I hoped I achieved it! Like I said earlier, Nico is a major player and Cracker makes an appearance as well! I think you’ll see my Jaguars at some point, but as for introducing new Jaguar Warriors, at the moment, there’s only Nico.

4. What are you writing right now? I’m actually getting revisions for KING OF THE DAMNED tomorrow which is the second full length League book, and I hope to start in on the third full length League book in the spring. At the moment, I’m working on the second contemporary romance in my Bad Boys of Crystal Lake series.

5. Are you giving up on paranormal romance? Um, NO!!!!!!!! I love writing paranormal so much, I can’t even tell you! I just felt the need to have something different to write as well and am loving writing both contemporary romance and paranormal romance!

So, if anyone has anymore comments or questions, please feel free to post and I’ll do my best to answer them!

Wrong Side of Hell….Cover Reveal!
Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

All right people! I’m very happy to show off the cover for the ‘official’ first book set in my League of Guardians series, the novella, WRONG SIDE OF HELL.

With battle lines drawn and evil forces gathering in the shadows, the League of Guardians is all that stands between chaos and the human realm…

Logan Winters, an elite hellhound shifter, wants to forget his allegiance to the League and the pain he’s suffered because of it. But when he’s ordered to retrieve Kira Dove from purgatory and bring her back to life, he can’t refuse. Not only will her death affect the balance between the realms, she’s also linked to a past he can’t forget.

Kira Dove, a young woman murdered before her time, wanders the gray realm, alone and vulnerable. The one bright spot in her life is the memory of a mysterious protector who saved her once before. As she makes her way through this terrifying place, she can’t help but wonder…will he come for her again?

As Logan races to save her, he knows he faces a nearly impossible task: How can a hellhound survive in the one place he shouldn’t ever be? The wrong side of hell…

Stay tuned for an awesome PRE-ORDER CONTEST. I’ll be posting it soon and sending out the information as soon as I can!

Hello 2012
Saturday, January 7th, 2012

I’ve heard the world is supposed to end this year and honestly with the crazy weather we’ve been having in Canuk land I’m ready to believe that something’s up. It’s like spring here and I’m afraid my tulips will be poking through soon.

But there is so much going on in 2012 that it can’t end. CAN’T I tell you! First off, um, Game of Thrones second season starts in April, followed by True Blood. If the Mayan’s mess with my HBO I’ll be a very unhappy lady.

(I had to show this picture because, um, Alcide is my true fantasy man. Seriously girls, this ain’t no boy, but an alpha male in his prime!) And, YOU’RE WELCOME!

Secondly, Canada’s Got Talent starts in March and uh, I’m watching it very closely for reasons I can’t talk about, well unless the world ends then I’ll spill EVERYTHING faster than it takes me to rip open a pack of peanut M&M’s.

Thirdly, I’ve got FOUR books coming out, all from my new series, LEAGUE OF GUARDIANS and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Wrong Side of Hell releases March 6th. Click on the title and you can read the first chapter. This is a prequel to the League books and my hero is a yummy Hellhound shifter. I should be able to share the cover soon and I’ll post the pre order links as soon as they’re available which I believe is sometime mid January!

Wicked Road to Hell hits stores in May, followed by another novella that I’ve not written yet, so I really can’t even tell you what it’s about! But King of the Damned has just been handed in and if you click on the title I’m posting an excerpt!

Also for the people emailing about Nico, YES my lovely tortured Jaguar Warrior is in both Wicked Road to Hell and King of the Damned. I plan on giving him his own story one day, so stay tuned!

So many things to look forward to and like I said earlier, if the Mayans screw with any of it, I shall be pissed! I shall be working on more League books as well as my new contemporary romance series, The Bad Boys of Crystal Lake!

If you haven’t signed up for my newsletter please do so…I’ll be sending out excerpts and contest info soon!

What’s everyone else up to? What are you looking more forward to?
Anyhoo, that’s what’s going on with me over the next year or so…
